<p><strong>Description</strong></p><p>Position Summary</p><p>We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of our manufacturing facility in Kenosha, WI. This role is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting operational decision-making. The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing accounting experience, a deep understanding of cost accounting, and a proven ability to partner with operations to drive profitability and efficiency.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p><strong>Financial Reporting & Close</strong></p><p>Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes</p><p>Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP</p><p>Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial reporting</p><p><strong>Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance</strong></p><p>Maintain and improve cost accounting systems, including standard costing and variance analysis</p><p>Analyze production costs, labor, overhead, and material usage</p><p>Partner with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve margins</p><p><strong>Budgeting & Forecasting</strong></p><p>Lead annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasts</p><p>Monitor financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis</p><p>Support leadership with data-driven insights and recommendations</p><p><strong>Internal Controls & Compliance</strong></p><p>Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures</p><p>Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements</p><p>Coordinate audits and work with external auditors as needed</p><p><strong>Cash Flow & Financial Management</strong></p><p>Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial health of the business</p><p>Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions</p><p>Manage banking relationships and financial transactions</p><p><strong>Leadership & Team Development</strong></p><p>Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team</p><p>Drive process improvements and increase efficiency within the department</p><p>Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement</p><p><strong>ERP & Systems Management</strong></p><p>Oversee financial systems (ERP/MRP), ensuring data accuracy and system integrity</p><p>Act as a key resource for system improvements and reporting enhancements</p><p><strong>Cross-Functional Partnership</strong></p><p>Partner closely with operations, supply chain, and <span style="color:rgb(8,7,7);">senior</span> leadership</p><p>Provide financial support for strategic initiatives, capital investments, and process improvements</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>Education & Experience</p><p>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required</p><p>CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred</p><p>7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing</p><p>3+ years of leadership experience managing accounting or finance teams</p><p><strong>Skills & Competencies</strong></p><p>Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles</p><p>Experience with standard costing, inventory management, and manufacturing KPIs</p><p>Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)</p><p>Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills</p><p>Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities</p><p>Ability to work in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment</p><strong>Job Type & Location</strong><p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenosha, WI.</p><strong>Pay and Benefits</strong><p>The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $62.50/hr.</p><p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
