Experience a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive workplace where your ideas are valued, and your growth is supported.</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Your role at a glance</b></p>The Environmental Health and Safety Officer is responsible for the consistent implementation of safety, health and environmental compliance programs across NTT Global Data Centers, Americas.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>What we are looking for </b></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Conduct regular site assessments to ensure adherence to safety standards.</li><li>Perform ongoing safety training matrix and conduct safety training sessions for operations staff and other stakeholders as needed.</li><li>Investigate accidents and incidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future.</li><li>Assists coordinator(s) in document control and development.</li><li>Participate in all aspects of OSHA compliance for operations department.</li><li>Work closely with stakeholders to ensure subcontractors and contractors adhere to safety programs while working in data centers.</li><li>Update corporate and site specific EHS dashboards.</li><li>Contribute to the maintenance of EHS metrics and update various reports on a routine basis.</li><li>Participate in annual EHS program reviews and develop new programs as needed.</li><li>Conduct monthly safety committee meetings for the operations department and other stakeholders attending meetings.</li><li>Drive safety culture and any initiatives throughout the year for the U.S. region.</li></ul><p></p><p>Knowledge & Other Attributes</p><ul><li>Thorough understanding of all relevant safety rules and regulations</li><li>Advance knowledge of safety standards</li><li>Strong outreach skills with the ability to motivate team members to achieve long-term vision while adjusting to daily challenges.</li><li>Ability to challenge, explain, and defend safety programs with diplomacy.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.</li><li>Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills and ability to coach and train others.</li></ul><p></p><p>Academic Qualifications & Certifications</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, or a similar degree, or equivalent experience</li><li>OSHA training and certifications a plus</li><li>CSHO, SHEP or CSP preferred</li></ul><p></p><p>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE</p><ul><li>3+ years of direct safety and environmental experience.</li></ul><p></p><p>Physical Requirements</p><ul><li>Regularly moves equipment and other hardware up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Frequently move about inside and outside of data center / facility</li><li>Remain stationary for long periods of time.</li><li>Ascend / Descend a ladder and perform duties atop a raised platform.</li><li>Position self in small spaces.</li><li>Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment.</li><li>Perform work during US business hours and time zones.</li><li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  These physical tasks may be required on an emergency basis, performed by the EH&S Manager and trainer alone, without notice, and on an immediate basis to meet urgent facility operations requirements and standards at a site where frequently no other personnel are available.</li></ul><p></p><p>Work Conditions & Other Requirements</p><ul><li>Work onsite at a data center location.</li><li>Exposure to varying temperatures and loud noises.</li><li>Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.</li><li>Travel required 25% of time.</li><li>Perform work from a remote location with stable internet connection.</li></ul><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Compensation Pay Range</b></p><p>This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device.<br>NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location.
