Job Summary

In accordance with written and oral instructions, assure that warehouse and the associated equipment operates safely, properly and efficiently to meet a pre-set key performance indicators. The Warehouse Lead duties incorporate the detailed duties of Warehouse Operators. In addition to these duties, the Warehouse Lead will be responsible for all keying efficiencies, inventory accuracy, outbound product quality, housekeeping, and personnel management tasks. This employee must demonstrate a strong ability to manage key performance indicators, warehouse transactions, inventory accuracy and cycle count procedures and orchestrate all warehouse operators to do the same. The lead should be able to identify operating inefficiencies, diagnose operational problems, and will possess the ability to make adjustments to correct operation and quality challenges as well as train Warehouse Operators to do the same.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for the actions and activity of all Warehouse Operators. The lead position will monitor progress, delegate additional tasks, and utilize controls to ensure that all operators are performing their job as outlined at a proficient or above-average level.

  • The Warehouse Lead will promote and enforce Medline safety, operational, and procedural policies.

  • The Warehouse Lead will also be responsible for Warehouse Operator training related to these policies.

  • All keying entries, such as receiving reports, stock to stock moves, finished goods to stock, and components back to stock moves will be audited and monitored for accuracy and consistency. The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for all inventory transaction entry and accuracy relating to the material movements as they pertain to the facility. -

  • Stage raw materials in the production locations and in the production room.

  • Process Material Requisitions from production. Ensures the transactions are accurately entered in the ERP systems.

  • Run floor scrubber/sweeper to keep warehouse area floors clean.

  • Housekeeping: Maintain housekeeping of assigned aisles, which includes debris removal, floor sweeping, rack cleaning, and skid maintenance (fix distraught skids, remove hanging debris, etc.).

  • Perform cycle count to confirm accuracy of the raw materials and finished goods at all time. Ensures the transactions and adjustments are accurately entered in the ERP systems.

  • Ability to operate Reach Truck, Walkie, Cherry Picker, and Fork Lifts efficiently and safely.

  • Ability to perform general maintenance tasks to material handling equipment, including battery charging, battery exchange, battery maintenance (water, checklists, etc.), and general cleaning.

  • Other tasks as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements:

Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience

Experience:

  • 2 years experience in a Manufacturing or Production environment

Additional

  • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Basic knowledge and use of hand tools

  • Sound decision-making skills - Good math, reading, writing skills

  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$25.00 - $36.25 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.

Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average. For roles where employees work less than 30 hours per week, benefits include 401(k) contributions as well as access to the Employee Assistance Program, Employee Resource Groups and the Employee Service Corp.
