Job Description

Are you meticulous, organized, and passionate about academic content? Course Hero is seeking a Virtual Study Notes Typist to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately transcribing and formatting academic notes, lectures, and study materials into a clear, searchable, and high-quality digital format for our platform. You’ll have the flexibility to either type notes from provided content or sell your own high-quality academic notes. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with strong typing skills and a keen eye for detail to contribute to a leading educational resource, working entirely remotely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe handwritten or audio academic notes, lectures, and study materials into digital text.
  • Format content according to Course Hero's style guidelines, ensuring consistency and readability.
  • Verify the accuracy of content, including technical terms, equations, and subject-specific vocabulary.
  • Organize and categorize notes effectively to enhance searchability and user experience.
  • Meet agreed-upon deadlines for note transcription and submission.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all academic content.
  • Optionally, contribute your own high-quality academic notes for various subjects, ensuring they meet our quality standards.

Required Skills

  • Excellent typing speed (minimum 60 WPM) and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors.
  • Familiarity with various academic subjects (e.g., STEM, Humanities, Business).
