Position Summary:
This role is responsible for delivering primary and episodic patient care in accordance with established standards, guidelines, and clinical protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments, including urgent, emergent, and non-urgent cases.

  • Select, order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies to evaluate patient conditions and support clinical findings.

  • Review and analyze diagnostic reports and test results to determine diagnoses.

  • Prescribe or administer treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other specialized medical interventions to treat or prevent illness and injury.

  • Perform clinical procedures, including laceration repairs and orthopedic care, and provide referrals to medical specialists as needed.

  • Explain medical procedures, test results, and treatment plans to patients.

  • Document clinical findings and treatment plans in patient records, including follow-up notes, and ensure charts are completed and closed within 24–48 hours.

  • Manage communications related to recruiting, training, and trade events as required.

  • Provide medical orders, direction, care services, consultation, supervision of healthcare staff, and chart review. The Physician is available via direct telecommunication for consultation, assistance with medical emergencies, or patient referrals.

  • Oversee special projects and perform additional duties as assigned. This position is designated as safety-sensitive.

About Woodward, Oklahoma

Education:

  • Nurse Practitioner (FNP), or Physician Assistant degree from an accredited institution.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Must obtain and maintain an active professional license.

  • Nurse Practitioners must hold current board certification.

  • Must meet all state and federal licensing requirements, including DEA registration.

  • Must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience:

  • One year of experience preferred but not required.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of medical coding and billing practices.

  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA, bloodborne pathogen standards, and related requirements.

  • Proficiency with standard computer applications, including internet use, email, and Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate both new and existing provider staff.

Working Conditions:

  • May be exposed to patient-related elements on an occasional basis.

  • Work environment may involve unpredictable situations and frequent interruptions.

  • May occasionally require irregular or extended work hours.

  • Periodic exposure to a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
