We're looking for an experienced and pragmatic Programme Manager that is comfortable working with evolving landscapes. You will be a confident challenger that is a trusted, neutral integrator across functions.

Our Operations function is the heartbeat of UW. From our high-energy contact centres to our strategic Resource Planning and Business Intelligence teams, this function is the engine room of our success.

As we work toward our goal of doubling in size, we need a Programme Manager who can act as a neutral integrator. You'll ensure that a huge volume of business initiatives land in a coherent, end-to-end way that empowers our teams and elevates our customer experience

You will have:

  • Significant experience delivering complex, multi-stream programmes across Operations, Technology and People change
  • Proven experience and track record of keeping complex and high-stakes portfolios and initiatives on track for delivery.
  • Experience leading and managing risk across complex portfolios, including identifying emerging risks from diverse sources (operational, strategic, digital, external), coordinating cross-functional teams to assess and quantify risks, and facilitating decisions that balance business objectives, resource limitations, and risk tolerance.
  • Familiarity with programme and change disciplines
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.

The Operations transformation comprises a number of parallel initiatives spanning process, technology, capability, structure and ways of working. These initiatives are owned by different leaders and teams and are interdependent in nature.

This role exists to reduce delivery risk created by unmanaged dependencies, Improve coordination across initiatives and provide confidence that change is landing coherently into Operations.

  • Develop a comprehensive and integrated portfolio plan that consolidates the plans, milestones, risks, and dependencies from each initiative and transformation programme.
  • Sequence initiatives to minimise disruption and maximise operational readiness.
  • Ensure the transition of capabilities to operations is planned with ongoing operational responsibilities agreed and accepted.
  • Identify, manage and resolve cross-initiative dependencies and delivery collisions
  • Ensure initiatives land in a coherent, end-to-end way
  • Establish and lead a virtual delivery team drawn from Operations, Technology, Product, People and Change
  • Set clear expectations for contributions, milestones and dependencies
  • Hold contributors to account without direct line management authority
  • Create and maintain a simple, trusted delivery rhythm
  • Facilitate regular delivery, risk and dependency reviews
  • Operational and Leadership readiness & landing assurance
  • Act as a bridge between delivery activity and operational reality
  • Provide the COO and Ops Leadership team with a clear, concise view of delivery health
