Position OverviewStellar Virtual is seeking dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teachers to support our virtual K-12 classrooms. This part-time, fully remote role offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality instruction and maintain continuity of learning for students in the absence of their regular teachers. The ideal candidate is flexible, tech-savvy, and committed to fostering an engaging and inclusive online learning environment.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDeliver instruction aligned with pre-prepared lesson plans for K-12 students in various subjects.Manage virtual classroom activities, ensuring a productive and supportive learning atmosphere.Facilitate student engagement and participation through virtual teaching platforms.Monitor and assess student performance and provide feedback as necessary.Address student questions and support their academic needs during class sessions.Collaborate with school staff and administrators to maintain instructional quality and alignment.Report attendance, participation, and any student concerns to the assigned supervisor.Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and state-specific educational guidelines.Knowledge, Skills & AttributesProficiency in using virtual teaching tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or similar platforms.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Access to a reliable computer, high-speed internet, and a quiet workspace for virtual teaching.Experience teaching in a virtual classroom environment.Familiarity with Arizona state educational standards.Education & Certification RequirementsA bachelor's degree in education or a related field is required.A valid Arizona Teaching Certificate or Substitute Certificate.Position DetailsCompensation: Hourly pay based on qualifications and experience.Schedule: As needed, with flexible hours depending on class assignments and availability.Work Environment: Fully remote.
