About the position Reporting to the Senior Manager of Medical Affairs, US Regional Business, the Associate Manager of Medical Affairs USA Regional position at Insulet will leverage clinical experience and disease state expertise to inform, strategize, create, and influence numerous initiatives to help drive Insulet's current commercial business within the U.S. This dynamic role will work collaboratively with downstream cross-functional teams to provide accurate, compliant, and strategic medical and disease state engagements and programs that enhance user accessibility to Insulet's portfolio of products. The ideal candidate has a history of focused experience or direct practice with diabetes and advanced diabetes technologies, (e.g., automated insulin delivery systems and insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitor systems, data management systems) and is skilled to translate their expertise to diverse audiences utilizing innovative communication methods and channels. Responsibilities • Provide Medical Affairs representation within US Regional project teams with a goal to achieve or exceed program objectives. • Implement deliverables pertaining to the Medical Affairs strategy for assigned projects through cross-functional collaboration. • Maintain a thorough and detailed working knowledge of Omnipod products, current scientific research, and publications. • Design compelling medical content to ensure education channels meet the needs of healthcare professionals, and Insulet's strategic fit in the diabetes device industry. • Assist with the development and/or presentation of professional training and educational materials and programs that meet the needs of various audiences to communicate the benefits and effective use of Omnipod products and/or support new product launches, indications, and claims. • Provide professional education training & support for key opinion leaders as part of peer-to-peer education programming. • Conduct medical education initiatives at conferences. • Support the promotion of evidence dissemination for stakeholders through a multi-channel approach. • Create and implement credible and compelling medical education and scientific content to reinforce key concepts of the diabetes disease state and therapies, and improve confidence, retention, and engagement. • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • Minimum bachelor's degree in health-related science and/or healthcare credentials (RN, RD, PharmD, etc.); advanced degree and CDCES credential preferred. • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industry, clinical, and/or research settings specifically related to diabetes and diabetes technology (i.e., insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitors) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Nice-to-haves • Advanced knowledge of diabetes technology, including automated insulin delivery systems. • Strong scientific acumen with an in-depth understanding of the diabetes disease state and therapy modalities. • Ability to arenaflex medical content and communication to diverse audiences. • Creative and motivated with a strong desire to innovate and push forward diabetes technologies. • Experience with deciphering clinical evidence and translating key points to diverse audiences. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong cross-functional collaborative skills to work across several internal and external teams. • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to simplify complex information. • High ethical standards which apply to interactions with healthcare providers, payers, and industry representatives. • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment and effectively prioritize project timelines. • History of strong clinical practice in both industry and diabetes care settings. • Organized and self-driven by deadlines, and regularly meets or exceeds expectations. • Proficient in arenaflex Office Suite.
