Overview Due to growth, we are adding a Sr. Manager, EPMO Portfolio Operations to our team! The Sr. Manager, EPMO Portfolio Operations is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing key functions within the Enterprise Project Management Office, including project intake and prioritization, resource management, financial governance, portfolio management tools, project testing standards and project change management frameworks. This role ensures alignment of capital projects with organizational strategy, drives operational excellence, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Is this you? Responsibilities How do I make an impact on my team? • In collaboration with the EPMO process manager, mature the EPMO’s project intake and prioritization process to ensure timely and consistent data gathering that enables senior leaders to clearly understand value of the proposed initiative and therefore rank initiative priority. • Facilitate portfolio review and prioritization meetings to include health and opportunities to ensure the greatest value is being realized and garner support for initiatives when required. • Ensure decisions of the portfolio review committee are implemented effectively to ensure timely adjustments to the portfolio and appropriate communication of changes. • Direct financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for capital projects in collaboration with EPMO financials program manager and Finance. • Ensure financial transparency and accountability across the project portfolio and its stakeholders to ensure awareness of project costs and overall capital budget health. • Own and guide the configuration, administration, and optimization of the project portfolio management tool (e.g., PPM Pro, Smartsheet) in collaboration with the EPMO admin, IT and system vendors. Ensure the tool creates consistency, transparency, and easily consumable project and program data. Ensure portfolio data accuracy, completeness, and usability for reporting and strategic analysis to allow for decision making and early risk mitigation. • Ensure testing and change management strategies for EPMO initiatives and capital projects are accounted for in each project and utilize accepted frameworks and best practices. • In collaboration with other EPMO leaders, lead adoption of new processes, tools, and governance practices that reduce project administration while improving transparency and clarity. • Work with staffing vendors to ensure strong partnerships and clarity of needs and expectations. • Ensure onboarding for all key roles within the EPMO is consistent, effective, and sets new staff up for success. • Manage and mentor a team responsible for daily operations of each function under this role. Provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to team members. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications What our team expects from you? • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, or related field required. • 5 years of experience in project portfolio or enterprise program management required. • 3 years in a people management role required. • Experience with portfolio management tools and enterprise governance frameworks. • Experience with project financials. • Experience successfully leading change through standard frameworks. • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives. • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
