Overview GovCIO is hiring a skilled SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) System Administrator to administer, configure, and maintain the SSRS platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience administering a SQL Server Reporting Services server, SQL and data visualization skills, IIS configuration skills, experience with report automation, and the ability to assist a large user base with technical support, training, and navigating complex VA data sources. This will be a fully remote position located within the United States. Responsibilities • Manage system-wide settings such as role definitions, shared schedules, and SSRS report server properties. • Configure the system to optimize performance and assist report builders in their product enhancements. • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts to a wide variety of individuals with varying technical skills. • Strong knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts. • Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data extraction. • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements. • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in reports and dashboards. • Support infrastructure (on-prem and cloud), test new platform versions, and assist users with data navigation and training. • Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues efficiently. • Implement best practices for performance tuning and report optimization. Qualifications Required Skills and Experience • Bachelors Degree and 8+ years experience (or commensurate experience) • 2+ years use administering, configuring, and maintaining the SSRS platform • 2+ years assisting customers/users in a technical support role • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities • Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Clearance Required: • Must reside and work within the continental U.S. and have the ability to obtain and maintain a suitability/public trust clearance Preferred Skills and Experience • Experience providing technical support for the Pyramid Analytics BI environment for internal VA customers/users. • Ability to help users develop, implement, and maintain Pyramid Analytics content. • Experience implementing technology best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes. • Ability to train and support users of varying technical skill levels. • Software development/engineering background. • Familiarity with serverless cloud technologies. • Understanding of Agile. • Familiarity with AWS and Azure. #TAPS Company Overview GovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
