Job Overview About Us: Rowdy Girl Sanctuary is the first documented beef cattle ranch in the world to go vegan and transform into a sanctuary for farmed animals. Our mission is to shift the paradigm from animal agriculture to compassion and liberation for all beings. We share the Rowdy Girl story through education, outreach, and community, inspiring others to see farm animals as someone, not something. Position Overview: We are seeking a Volunteer Social Media Moderator to help us engage with our growing community across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about veganism, deeply familiar with the Rowdy Girl story, and skilled in creating a safe, respectful, and inspiring digital environment. This volunteer role has the potential to grow into a paid position as our organization continues to expand. Key Responsibilities: Monitor comments, messages, followers, and interactions across all social media platforms. Ensure conversations remain respectful, on-topic, and aligned with our mission. Respond to questions and comments in the Rowdy Girl voice and tone. Remove inappropriate or harmful content when necessary. Support the communications team by flagging important conversations, trends, or opportunities. Help build an inclusive, supportive, and inspiring online community for animal rights and vegan living. Qualifications: Must be vegan and aligned with animal rights values. Familiarity with the Rowdy Girl Sanctuary story, mission, and tone. Experience with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Strong communication skills with the ability to write in a compassionate and professional voice. Reliable, organized, and comfortable working remotely. Prior moderation or community management experience is a plus, but not required. Commitment: Flexible hours, approximately 5–10 hours per week. Remote, with weekly team check-ins via Zoom. Compensation: This is a volunteer role with the opportunity to grow into a paid position within our organization.
