This individual is accountable for retrieving, scanning or otherwise furnishing location addresses for all production released by the mill to the finished goods area and stowing in the warehouse area.

Primary Duties
  • Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. SKNA employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies.
  • This process will include such specialized tasks as staging orders, loading trucks, placing and removing product from hold, labeling/re-labeling roll stock, rework of roll stock, testing, etc.
  • Take responsibility for organizing and re-warehousing as appropriate and in conformance with the direction of supervision
  • Maintain all safety requirements and housekeeping of finished goods warehouse facilities and minor maintenance of shipping equipment including daily preventative maintenance check of lift truck
  • Stow production to ensure timely and cost efficient loading, evaluation and inspection, storage, location, and documentation of finished roll stock in accordance with safe, approved methods
  • Maintenance of all company equipment as and when assigned or used; this includes care and maintenance of buildings and grounds in the care and control of the shipping department
  • Knowledge and practice of sound safety, training, testing, inventory practices and procedures
  • Follow direction of mill supervision when immediate supervisor unavailable
  • Completion of all required paperwork and forms; timekeeping for employees assigned, rework, returns, enforcement of company policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with and use of shipping manual in the shipping office
  • Coordinate and communicate with supervisor and complete any other duty as and when assigned
  • All other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one-year minimum experience with fork lift operation
  • Driving experience on one or more types of lift trucks equipped with forks and/or specialized attachments
  • Knowledge of safe operating practices with lift trucks and dock operations, including related paperwork and inspection procedures
  • Some computer experience necessary
  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment and follow established processes
  • Read, write and speak English
  • Variety of mechanical skills
  • Ability to complete simple math equations (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication)
  • Excellent attention-to-detail skills
  • Must have analytical skills and desire to learn new equipment and applications
