Join us, and let’s improve lives together. • *This position is eligible to work from home anywhere in the United States** Summary: The Senior Business Innovation Consultant is a key member of the enterprise innovation team, responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of innovation initiatives. This role oversees the entire process from initial intake and scoping through to delivery and integration back into the core business. As an Senior Business Innovation Consultant, you will be instrumental in exploring bold and ambitious challenges that align with our strategic objectives, while also encouraging new ways of thinking that extend beyond our current operations, fosters a learning mindset, promotes rapid experimentation, and encourages continuous improvement to help EMC stay ahead of market trends and evolving customer needs. Essential Functions: • Leads end to end delivery of complex and/or enterprise-wide innovation initiatives. Oversees the entire process from initial intake and scoping through to delivery and integration back into the core business. Leads initiative timelines, resources, and communications to ensure successful outcomes. • Designs and facilitates innovation workshops and sessions, using design thinking and other creative methodologies to engage internal partners and stakeholders, generate insights, and develop actionable solutions. • Provides high level consultative services to internal and external partners regarding innovative processes and ideas. Collaborates with business units and external partners to identify challenges, gather requirements, and co-create innovative solutions. Synthesizes research findings and market insights to inform initiative/proof of concept direction. • Drives continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned, iterating on processes, and sharing best practices. Supports the development of innovation capabilities across the organization via projects lead within other business units. • Empowers others throughout the organization by acting as a coach, technical expert, and/or facilitator for “everyday innovation,” ensuring that innovation is embedded in daily work and that successful initiatives are operationalized and sustained within the business. • Defines and tracks success metrics—including learning milestones, early wins, ROI, and business unit satisfaction—and contributes to Innovation portfolio management by helping balance risk, resource allocation, and strategic priorities. • Champions EMC’s innovation culture by partnering with other enablement functions such as HR, DEIB, and Change Management to design and deliver programs that build innovation capability and a learning-first mindset across the organization. • Actively participates in innovation governance by collaborating on milestone-based funding decisions, shaping investment proposals and contributing to prioritization, tracking, and communication of progress on innovative investments. Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business or innovation related field, or equivalent relevant experience • Seven years of experience in innovation, business process, or related field, including at least three years leading innovation projects or workshops • A master’s degree in a relevant business or innovation field may be used to satisfy part of the experience requirement • Professional designations related to business or innovation preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Excellent knowledge of innovation methodologies (e.g., human-centered design, lean startup, design thinking) • Excellent facilitation and workshop design skills • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills • Ability to synthesize research and market insights into actionable strategies • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities • Proficient in collaboration and digital tools (e.g., Miro, Lucid, Teams, Zoom) • Excellent analytical, investigation, and ability to lead with a curiosity and learning mindset • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills • Strong knowledge of insurance related technologies preferred • Occasional travel required; valid driver’s license required if driving The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either of the following: $100,085 - $138,285 or $110,624 - $152,122 A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range. The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
