Senior Account Executive - Health Solutions Dubai

Aon Dubai is recruiting a Senior Account Executive in their Health Solutions department based, on a hybrid basis, from our offices in Dubai Hills. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in medical insurance account management, with a particular focus on analyzing policy performance, interpreting loss ratios, and preparing client‑ready renewal and benchmarking reports.

What the day will look like

Client Relationship & Service Management

  • Act as a primary day‑to‑day contact for assigned health/medical insurance clients.
  • Schedule and lead regular client meetings to:
  • Review service performance and claims experience.
  • Address and resolve customer service and claims‑related issues.
  • Maintain strong, long‑term client relationships and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with internal claims and operations teams to obtain required information, support escalations, and ensure timely resolution of client issues.

Policy Performance & Analytics

  • Monitor scheme performance on an ongoing basis, with a strong focus on loss ratio, utilization trends, and cost drivers.
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly claims and performance reports, highlighting key insights, risks, and opportunities.
  • Present performance reviews to clients on a quarterly basis and ahead of renewals, providing clear explanations and recommendations.

Renewals, Marketing & Negotiations

  • Lead the renewal process for assigned accounts, starting typically 90 days prior to renewal.
  • Review and analyze renewal terms from incumbent insurers, challenging and negotiating where appropriate to secure competitive and sustainable outcomes.
  • Prepare comprehensive renewal reports, including:
  • Loss ratio and performance analysis
  • Benefits and network comparisons
  • Market benchmarking and alternative quotes (where applicable)
  • Coordinate the marketing of policies to the agreed panel of insurers:
  • Ensure all RFPs are issued on time and tracked.
  • Follow up with underwriters to obtain quotations and clarifications.
  • Present renewal recommendations and options to clients and support decision‑making.

Policy & Documentation Management

  • Ensure all client policy files (physical and/or digital) are accurate, complete, and audit‑ready.
  • Follow up with insurers for timely issuance of policy documents and endorsements, both at renewal and mid‑term.

Financial & Administrative Oversight

  • Act as a point of contact in case of any escalations related to daily administration, invoicing, or pending payments

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Insurance, Healthcare Management or a related field.
  • Recognized secondary school qualification (high school / equivalent).

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in medical/health insurance, employee benefits, or related fields.
  • Strong experience in policy performance analysis, claims / loss ratio review, and renewal negotiations.
  • Proven experience in preparing client-facing reports (renewal reports, benefit comparisons, market benchmarking, etc.).
  • Experience managing corporate client accounts and working with insurers/TPAs in the UAE market.

Knowledge

  • Good understanding of group medical, life and disability insurance products, policy wordings, and benefit structures.
  • Familiarity with UAE health insurance regulations and market practices (DHA, DOH, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of claims data, loss ratios, and key cost drivers, with the ability to translate these into insights and recommendations for clients.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, charts, basic analysis) and good working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage but not essential.
  • Strong client relationship skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, client‑friendly way.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
  • Positive, Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working as part of a team as well as independently.
