Job Summary:
The Security Supervisor is responsible for the security and safety of our client’s property and personnel. This position will supervise staff on their assigned shift, while providing training, recognition, coaching & counseling, and discipline to those within their span of control.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and guide the Security Guards on shift to include, ensuring staff clocks in/out on time, approving/denying requests for time off, and addressing and documenting communication with team members with substandard performance.
  • Regularly patrol and spot-check premises
  • Gather information and complete reports while maintaining confidentiality. • Defuse disturbances by following company policies and procedures
  • Maintaining daily records to include Incident Reports
  • Motivating and coaching employees
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
  • Assign work areas for Security Guards
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels for the assigned weekday shifts
  • Respond to alarms and distress calls from client and client’s employees as well as Apex Sentry employees
  • Act as a liaison between the Client and Apex Sentry employees
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Valid Georgia Drivers License with clean driving record
  • The ability to work Monday through Friday from 2:00pm – 10:00pm
  • Minimum 2 years’ Supervisory Experience in Security, Law Enforcement and/or Military required
  • 24 Hour Armed or Unarmed Security Guard Certification required
  • Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional manner
  • Must be able to observe situations and determine appropriate responses
  • Organized, have a keen eye for detail, trustworthy, and can manage others effectively
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client’s site, calmly and efficiently
  • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain, snow, high winds or heat
  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 25 pounds
  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for extended periods of time.
