Site Safety Technician (Field)

Location: Haskell, TX
Duration:12-18 Months (Start: 3/30)
Type: 1099 Contractor


Job Details
  • Hourly Rate: $45/hr
  • Per Diem: Monthly based on construction safety experience $4200-$7100/Month
    Housing: Optional dedicated work camp provided at no cost (dormitory-style, gender-segregated) The camp includes several on-site amenities for travelers, including dining facilities, a gym, and recreational areas such as pools.
  • Completion Bonus: $150/month
  • Pay: Weekly
  • Schedule: Monday-Sunday | 10 days on / 4 days off | 12-hour shifts | Day & Night

Project Scope

Our client is supporting the buildout of a data center campus in Haskell, TX, with a peak workforce of approximately 3,400 workers across multiple trades. The Site Safety Technician will provide field-level safety support in a high-volume construction environment while coordinating closely with client safety leadership.


Qualifications
  • OSHA 510 or OSHA 500 or higher
  • 4+ years of verifiable construction safety experience
  • Ability to work day or night shifts as needed
  • Previous data center experience preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
  • Provide safety training as needed
  • Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
  • Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
  • Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required

Skills & KnowledgeSkills:
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Professionalism in fast-paced construction environments
  • Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
  • Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
Knowledge:
  • Working knowledge of OSHA construction standards
  • Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
  • Understanding of multi-trade construction safety practices
  • Ability to effectively communicate safety requirements in the field
