They are seeking a Senior User Experience Researcher to lead user research projects, understand user needs, and collaborate with teams to enhance product design and development. Responsibilities • Help your team of UX designers, product managers, and engineers to understand user needs • Work with stakeholders across functions and levels and have an impact at all stages of product design and development • Explore user behaviors and motivations by conducting primary research such as field studies, interviews, card sorts, tree tests, diary studies, participatory design workshops, surveys, usability tests, and behavioral data analysis • Work directly with patients, providers, and other users of our digital products, conducting and coordinating studies, and then synthesizing the research into findings for consideration and discussion • Establish the goals of the research, the methods they will use to gather data, and the budget and timelines required • Create recruiting screeners, test scripts, and interview guides, and utilize a variety of methods (including in-person, remote/ moderated, remote/unmoderated, etc.) to conduct sessions • Recruit participants and/or provide oversight to vendors that assist with research and / or subject recruitment • Create a deep understanding and empathy for our customers • Understand how research impacts our products and the relevance of research to our products and key stakeholders; identify risks and create mitigation strategies • Experience with Agile-based functional teams/squads • Effective communication skills, including the ability to clearly and concisely articulate research, ideas, perspectives in a diplomatic and persuasive manner • Demonstration of exemplary work and professionalism as a non-managing leader in the XD team, including establishing an environment of psychological safety; the ability to build professional, productive, trusting relationships with partners and team members • The ability to communicate persuasively and passionately about the value of the discipline and demonstrate the impact of research on business objectives • Contribute to the evolution of our user research repository and body of knowledge • Collaborate with and inspiring others on the research team, keeping up with the industry evolution including best practices, research methods, new trends, and tools • The ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Skills • High School Diploma/GED and 7+ years proven success leading user research projects with demonstrated impact in an agency or enterprise setting (Healthcare experience a plus) • A compelling portfolio of professional research work that showcases your skills and deliverables • End-to-end knowledge of all stages of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis and reporting) • Experience with a variety of research tools, such as User Zoom, Usertesting.com, dScout, Optimal Workshop, Tobii Eye Tracker, Dovetail, or similar tools • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and an ability to persuasively articulate research perspective • Comfortable in a fast-paced, iterative/agile design process • A working style that demonstrates respect, initiative, ownership, transparency, and accountability • Have a genuine passion for helping people who need our help the most • BS or MS in Human-Centered Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology or related discipline preferred, but not required • Experience and training in Personal Identification Information (PII) or Personal Health Information (PHI) • Experience working with Accessibility concerns for Digital product Benefits • Medical: Multiple plan options. • Dental: Delta Dental or reimbursement account for flexible coverage. • Vision: Affordable plan with national network. • Pre-Tax Savings: HSA and FSAs for eligible expenses. • Retirement: Competitive retirement package to secure your future.
