St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a Senior Managed Care Contracts Analyst to support their mission by leading the evaluation, analysis, negotiation, and monitoring of contract rates and terms. The role involves managing high-impact contracts, contributing to Managed Care contracting initiatives, and strengthening provider relationships.


Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the creation of complex financial models; perform scenario analyses of payor reimbursement using patient data and contract terms
  • Lead analysis of all current and future payor contract terms
  • Perform validation and organize patient information for contract models
  • Monitor and analyze variances between negotiated contract payment terms and contract performance; ensure actual reimbursement is consistent with expected payment calculations
  • Develop summary presentations, report findings of collection issues and provide alternative recommendations to senior leadership for future contract terms or methodologies
  • Monitor financial performance, and gathering information to recommend changes to managed healthcare programs
  • Train and mentor team members to meet the comprehensive fiscal objectives at St. Jude while complying with policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (e.g., Business Administration, Information Services) or any health related field of study required
  • Minimum Requirement: 4+ years of experience; proven experience with managed care contracting required
  • Strong experience with the financial aspects of various payment mechanisms within managed care
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Proven performance in earlier role
