Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. IT Associates is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer with strong experience in end-to-end testing of custom retail e-commerce platforms. In this role, you will help ensure the highest quality of the e-commerce site by maintaining comprehensive test strategies that validate the full customer journey from browsing to post-order flows. Responsibilities • Develop and implement end-to-end (E2E) test strategies covering the complete customer flow on the e-commerce platform — including search & browse, product details, cart, checkout, payments, order confirmation, and post-purchase experiences • Execute functional, integration, system, regression, and E2E tests across web, mobile, APIs, and backend systems • Validate critical integrations with payment gateways, shipping providers, tax services, inventory/OMS, and ERP systems • Create and maintain detailed and reusable test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional requirements and user stories • Define test data requirements and manage environments to support consistent and repeatable testing • Identify, document, and report defects clearly with steps to reproduce, severity, and expected vs. actual behavior • Work with developers and product owners to triage issues, validate fixes, and ensure timely resolution • Support or develop automated test scripts and frameworks to accelerate regression testing and increase overall test coverage • Integrate automated tests into arenaflex/CD pipelines to support continuous quality validation • Partner with cross-disciplinary teams — product, design, backend, DevOps — to clarify acceptance criteria, discuss edge cases, and contribute to quality outcomes during sprint planning and refinement • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business validation activities • Identify issues that impact user experience, performance, or edge-case user journeys, and provide insights to mitigate them before release Skills • 5+ years of QA or Quality Engineering experience, focused on Large e-commerce, retail platforms • Demonstrated experience designing and executing end-to-end test strategies and scenarios • Strong functional testing skills across UI, APIs, and backend flows • Good experience with test management and defect tracking tools like Azure Devops • Knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.) and the ability to collaborate on automation approaches • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Clear communication skills for reporting bugs and test results to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Strong attention to detail and user-focused quality mindset • Experience with retail checkout flows, tax and shipping APIs, inventory systems, and payment processor integrations • Exposure to Agile development processes • Previous work on custom e-commerce platforms (not just off-the-shelf SaaS solutions) • Comfortable with data and integration testing, including API validation and basic SQL queries Benefits • Medical • Dental • Retirement • Other benefits Company Overview • IT Associates provides businesses and organizations with IT, data, consulting, and communications services and equipment.
