Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. KeyBank is seeking a Senior Manager, Governance and Enablement to lead the development and execution of data and analytics governance processes. This role involves managing data risk assessments and guiding business units in managing critical data elements while aligning governance activities with KeyBank’s Data Risk Policy.


Responsibilities

  • Lead data risk and control coverage assessments for critical use cases and partner with the MBU to identify critical data elements (CDEs)
  • Expand and scale the data risk and control coverage assessment process for essential and non-essential data as governance matures
  • Develop operational procedures, implement and execute data and analytics governance controls, enhance metrics related to data and analytics governance
  • Direct the creation and delivery of data and analytics governance risk metrics
  • Partner with stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure minimum control expectations are well understood and provide guidance on their development and implementation
  • Support the expansion of data and analytics governance as the program evolves

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Risk Management, Business Management, Data Governance, Finance, or Management Information Systems, with at least 7-10 years of experience
  • Data management background and strong experience with data risk and control assessment frameworks
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
  • Ability to think strategically coupled with the ability to drive to execution
  • Comfortable working independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Teams, and the proven ability to learn how to use other unique technologies
  • Manage workflows and task assignment to ensure timely completion of work
  • Experience working with senior leaders and managing up for approvals and strategic alignment
  • Experience with data and analytics governance
  • Experience with development and execution of controls
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience developing presentation materials and metrics reporting
  • Conflict resolution and thought leadership skills
  • Strong command of Excel for tracking, documenting, and analyzing data
  • Foundational knowledge of Archer GRC preferred
  • Intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous improvement
