St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a driven and experienced Corporate Tax Principal to provide expert guidance to the accounting team and ensure accurate corporate tax reporting. The role involves leading the development of accounting systems, enhancing corporate tax policies, and collaborating with stakeholders to streamline financial processes.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and operations of accounting and decision‑support systems by working closely with cross‑functional teams
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of policies and procedures related to corporate tax functions ensuring alignment with St. Jude’s regulatory requirements
  • Oversee reporting and dashboard creation within assigned areas, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery while identifying issues or gaps for senior management
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders—both internal and external—to promote alignment, streamline financial processes, and support coordinated efforts across departments
  • Coordinate and monitor compliance with best practices in financial accounting, payroll, and taxation procedures
  • Support overall planning related to major accounting and financial reporting systems across the organization

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, finance, or related field of study required
  • 6+ years of accounting experience, including work with general ledger systems and/or related financial information systems required
  • Strong familiarity with accounting standards and regulations, such as IRS rules, US GAAP, Uniform Guidance, and relevant hospital or nonprofit financial regulations required
  • Corporate Tax Law Expertise - strong knowledge of corporate tax for U.S multi-locations / global company
  • Data Analysis - ability to identify corporate tax risks, opportunities, and trends
  • Analytical & Critical Thinking - skilled at breaking down complex corporate tax issues
  • Problem‑Solving - Develops practical, effective corporate tax solutions
  • Time Management - Handles multiple deadlines with accuracy
  • Adaptability - Responds quickly to changing corporate tax laws
  • Continuous Learning - Stays current on evolving corporate tax regulations and best practices
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Extensive corporate tax experience supporting a U.S. multi‑location and/or global organization, with a strong understanding of complex corporate tax structures and compliance requirements strongly preferred
  • Experience working with outsourced partners, including managing deliverables, reviewing work products, and maintaining strong vendor relationships desired
  • Project management experience strongly desired, including coordination of cross‑functional initiatives or tax‑related projects
  • Workday experience a plus, particularly within financial or accounting modules
  • CPA preferred
