About the Role

We’re hiring a part-time remote bookkeeper to join our growing team. This is a flexible work-from-home opportunity, ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and making a difference for small business owners.

You'll start with 1-5 hours per week, and can gradually add more hours as client needs grow. Work hours are flexible, but some daytime availability is required. Meeting deadlines is required.

Responsibilities

After training, you'll be assigned specific clients and serve as their dedicated day-to-day bookkeeper and point of contact. Your tasks will include:

  • Categorizing income and expenses in QuickBooks Online
  • Posting journal entries and reconciling accounts
  • Communicating with clients via email and video (answering questions and providing reports)
  • Sending monthly financial reports
  • Collaborating with the Evergold team via Slack
  • Participating in monthly team video calls

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent coursework)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Friendly, clear communicator via email and video
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Tech-savvy (comfortable with cloud-based software)
  • Own computer and reliable high-speed internet

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a public accounting firm
  • Based in Pennsylvania or Tennessee
