The Learning & Development Instructional Designer is responsible for designing high-quality learning experiences and collaborating with various teams to create effective training solutions that enhance employee skills and support operational excellence.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct needs analysis to identify performance gaps and determine appropriate learning and performance solutions
  • Design and develop high‑quality learning materials including eLearning, videos, job aids, process guides, and blended learning solutions
  • Apply adult learning theory, instructional design principles, and effective learning strategies to create engaging, outcome-focused training
  • Collaborate closely with project manager and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content, develop scripts, and create assessments and learning objectives
  • Build interactive eLearning using Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise
  • Develop multimedia components including basic video editing, audio editing, or animations as needed
  • Manage multiple projects independently, including timelines, communication, stakeholder feedback, and quality reviews
  • Ensure all learning materials meet accessibility and quality standards
  • Measure learning effectiveness and iterate solutions based on data and stakeholder insights

Skills

  • Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing eLearning and learning experiences
  • Proven proficiency with Articulate Rise and Storyline 360
  • Strong writing, editing, and content‑structuring skills
  • Demonstrated experience applying instructional design methodologies and partnering effectively with SMEs
  • Portfolio showcasing instructional design work (eLearning samples strongly preferred)
  • Strong project management, time management, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in graphic design and/or multimedia creation
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Candidates will only be considered if portfolio link is provided at time of application
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Audition)
  • Experience with learning tools like Vyond and SharePoint
  • Experience with videography or advanced video editing
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and course maintenance workflows
  • Exposure to action mapping, performance consulting, or data‑driven learning methods
