They are seeking a Growth Marketing Manager to own retention and growth execution across lifecycle marketing and performance operations, focusing on improving customer engagement and retention through various marketing strategies. Responsibilities • Take ownership of the creative pipeline by coordinating raw asset intake, organizing and prioritizing inputs, and supporting creative strategists in turning raw footage, UGC, and product assets into scroll-stopping Meta ad creatives • Own lifecycle and retention marketing across email and SMS via Klaviyo, including post-purchase education, customer segmentation, cross-sell and winback strategies, with a focus on increasing repeat purchase rate and LTV • Design and optimize onboarding and education sequences that help customers extract real value from WhyGolf training aids and reduce refunds and churn • Manage growth experimentation across paid and owned channels, including creative testing frameworks, landing page tests, and cohort-level performance analysis • Analyze performance data across acquisition and retention to surface insights, diagnose issues, and inform prioritization and decision-making • Assist with influencer and creator relationships by supporting communication, coordinating deliverables, and helping integrate influencer content into paid and lifecycle marketing initiatives • Collaborate closely with the founder and creative partners to translate strategy into execution and ensure growth initiatives ship reliably Skills • 2–5+ years of experience in DTC growth or performance marketing, with hands-on exposure to both paid media and lifecycle/retention marketing • Demonstrated experience supporting performance media execution, including campaign builds, QA, budget pacing, and troubleshooting within platforms like Meta ads Manager • Strong understanding of lifecycle and retention fundamentals, including post-purchase education, segmentation, cross-sell and winback strategy, and LTV optimization • Comfort working across core growth tools such as Shopify, Klaviyo, and Meta ads Manager • Proven ability to analyze performance data, identify meaningful signal in noisy environments, and translate insights into action • High attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to operate with ownership and sound judgment in a fast-moving, founder-led environment with evolving priorities • Have experience with or a strong working understanding of the golf swing, common swing faults, and how golfers think about improvement, including familiarity with the golf training aid industry • Have prior experience running performance marketing within the golf, sports, or performance-oriented consumer category • Experience marketing a subscription-based app, including lifecycle messaging tied to onboarding, engagement, and retention • An example of a growth, retention, or performance initiative you owned end-to-end Company Overview • At WhyGolf, we're committed to helping you suck less at golf.
