Per-Project Trade Estimator (100% Remote | 1099) Spray Foam Insulation | Fireproofing Baybuild Estimators is expanding our network of experienced trade estimators to support commercial construction projects nationwide. This is a 100% remote, per-project estimating role. You will not work directly with clients, no selling is required, and all communication flows through Baybuild Estimators. About the Role As a Trade Estimator with Baybuild, your responsibility is to produce accurate, professional takeoffs and pricing deliverables based on issued construction documents. This role is ideal for estimators who: • Prefer focused estimating work (not sales or client management) • Want flexible, project-based income • Have strong trade-specific estimating experience What You Will Do • Prepare complete colored takeoffs by scope • Produce detailed material lists • Complete pricing workbooks using: • Production rates and/or • Piece-work rates (client-specific where applicable) • Identify scope gaps and write clear RFIs when required • Follow Baybuild estimating standards and formats • Meet defined bid deadlines What You Will NOT Do • No direct client communication • No selling or negotiating work • No project management responsibilities • No liability for plan or document changes issued after plans are provided Required Experience • 3+ years of professional estimating experience in one or more of the following trades: • Insulation • Fireproofing • Spray Foam • Strong understanding of commercial construction scopes • Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and addenda Software & Tools Experience with one or more of the following: • PlanSwift • Bluebeam • On-Screen Takeoff • STACK • Trimble / Accubid • Advanced Excel Nice to Have • Previous experience as a Project Manager or Field Supervisor • Familiarity with CSI divisions • Existing vendor pricing relationships (e.g., FBM, L&W, specialty suppliers) Compensation • 1099 independent contractor position • Paid per project • Rate is: • Based on project size and complexity • Agreed upon before each assignment • No commission structure — set rate per project Why Work With Baybuild Estimators • 100% remote work • Clear scopes and expectations • No client or sales pressure • Consistent estimating opportunities • Professional, estimator-focused workflow Job Type: Contract Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour Experience: • Spray Foam/Fire Proofing: 5 years (Required) Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job Apply tot his job
