Receptionist

Location: Cadogan Clinic, Sloane Street, Chelsea, London

Contract: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week)

Salary: £28,000 per year

Shifts: Rotational shifts covering clinic opening and closing hours, including weekends

The Opportunity

We are seeking a polished and professional Receptionist to join our friendly and highly regarded Reception team.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in delivering a seamless, high-quality experience from first enquiry through to consultation and aftercare. Working across our departments and alongside our industry-leading surgical, aesthetic and dermatological consultants, you will ensure every patient interaction reflects the exceptional standards of our clinic.

This role requires outstanding communication skills, strong organisational ability, strong attention to detail, and proven administrative experience. The role and responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently liaise relevant information between consultants, operating facility staff and outpatient clinic teams.
  • Act as patient concierge, welcoming clients to the clinic and ensuring a professional first impression.
  • Manage consultant diaries to ensure smooth and efficient clinic flow.
  • Take payments in line with clinic protocols while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
  • Maintain and update computerised patient records with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Support prescription requests and liaise with external labs, GPs and other medical establishments on behalf of patients.
  • Maintain clinic presentation to the highest standard, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and support ordering processes.
  • Work collaboratively with the in-clinic team to ensure seamless outpatient operations.
  • Proactively identify and escalate operational or health and safety issues where appropriate.
  • Provide general administrative and medical administrative support as required.

You will report directly to the Clinic Manager and play a key role in ensuring a flawless patient journey from first contact through to aftercare.

Skills and experience required

Essential

  • Experience working as a receptionist or in a customer-facing role within a high-end private hospital, aesthetic, dental or clinical environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and immaculate written English.
  • Strong IT and administrative skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Calm and professional demeanour when working under pressure.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across departments and with consultants.
  • A proactive, “can-do” attitude.
  • Polished appearance and professional manner.
  • Genuine interest in aesthetics and wellbeing.

Desirable

  • Experience in medical administration.
  • Previous experience within a private outpatient department or aesthetic clinic.
