Tomlinson is Eastern Canada's leader in environmental, construction and transportation infrastructure services. Our materials group is looking for an individual to work in our quarries within the Ottawa area.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Make sure crusher is in working order

  • Operate Skid Steers

  • Work quickly, efficiently and safely to fix problem when crusher shuts down

  • Daily check of crusher, grease the Canica, change grease cartridges

  • Clean the jaw and cone crushers

  • Clean screens and hoods

  • Clean around the crushing plant

  • Measure, count and change screens

  • Shovel under crusher

  • Shovel Canica deck

  • Clean tools

  • Put scrap away

  • Prepare tools and equipment for maintenance

  • Perform maintenance on equipment when plant is shut down

  • Miscellaneous jobs assigned by Quarry Foreman

  • Operate rock truck and loader as required


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Noisy and dusty environment
  • Rough (bumpy) driving conditions
  • Typical work day is 10-12 hours with occasional weekend and night shift requirements

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

The expected salary range for this position is $25.00- $30.00 per hour. Placement within the range is dependant on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
