Job Title: HR Portfolio Project Manager Location: Remote (U.S.-Based) Employment Type: W2 9-Month Contract (Potential Extensions) NO C2C Pay Rate: $61.15 – $88.94 per hour (Based on skills and experience) Role Overview BEPC is seeking an experienced HR Portfolio Project Manager to support our client in leading complex, cross-functional initiatives within a dynamic Human Resources environment. This role blends strategic program leadership with business operations oversight, functioning in a chief-of-staff capacity to drive high-impact initiatives while maintaining operational excellence. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, builds scalable portfolio management frameworks, and ensures initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities Portfolio & Program Leadership Design and manage a comprehensive portfolio management framework to intake, prioritize, and track key initiatives and organizational priorities. Lead complex, cross-functional projects where requirements, methodologies, or technical feasibility may initially be undefined. Develop detailed project plans including timelines, resource allocation, budgeting, and risk mitigation strategies. Influence and guide strategic, enterprise-level initiatives across multiple departments. Business Operations & Stakeholder Management Serve as a trusted business operations partner to cross-functional teams and senior leadership. Establish and manage operational rhythms such as Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), governance structures, and communication protocols. Facilitate stakeholder workshops and meetings to gather requirements, secure buy-in, and resolve conflicts. Provide transparent, proactive updates to executives, business partners, and team members. Execution & Continuous Improvement Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient execution. Monitor progress, manage scope changes, and mitigate risks to maintain successful delivery. Implement and refine project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2, etc.). Maintain a strong focus on quality, stakeholder satisfaction, and continuous process improvement. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, or related field. 7+ years of project management experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives within Human Resources or corporate environments. Demonstrated success delivering projects on time and within budget. Strong experience managing budgets, timelines, and resource planning. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all organizational levels. Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk mitigation skills. Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments. Preferred: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification. Experience designing and implementing portfolio management frameworks. Background in chief of staff, strategic operations, or business operations leadership roles. Personal Attributes: Adaptable and resilient in ambiguous environments.
