In preparation, we have initiated the process of reviewing, shortlisting, and interviewing potential candidates to ensure readiness. Upon confirmation of the project being awarded, we will begin mobilizing the selected candidates to commence project execution.</i></b></p><p></p><p><b>Job Purpose</b></p><p>The Program Director will oversee the Water Transmission Scheme, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, progress and coordination of resources and ownership over preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual progress report. This is a PMC role, and the PD will be responsible for overseeing and execution of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) operations for large-scale water transmission projects in Abu Dhabi. There will be multiple Supervision Consultants and EPC`s appointed directly by the Client. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and collaboration with various stakeholders to meet project objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.</p><p></p><p><b>Job Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Lead and manage the overall planning, execution, and delivery of the Project.</li><li>Lead and manage the overall program comprising all lots within the scope for the project, ensuring the integration and alignment of all project activities with the strategic objectives of the EMPLOYER.</li><li>Establish program governance, ensuring adherence to project management standards, procedures, and frameworks.</li><li>Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, supervision consultants, contractors, vendors and regulatory authorities ensuring consistency and collaboration alignment and compliance with project specifications and regulations.</li><li>Oversee the development and implementation of project plans, schedules, and budgets.</li><li>Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to address any deviations from the project plan.</li><li>Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management and the client, detailing progress, challenges and solutions, commercial status, risks etc.</li><li>Ensure effective risk management strategies are in place to mitigate potential project risks and issues.</li><li>Collaborate with the technical team to review engineering designs, ensuring constructability and compliance with industry standards.</li><li>Ensure the program meets time, cost, quality, and safety targets while maintaining compliance with all contractual requirements.</li><li>Guide and mentor project team members, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing.</li><li>Foster strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders to maintain project support and mitigate any concerns.</li><li>Act as the primary interface between stakeholders, facilitating communication and resolving escalations.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in related field.</li><li>20+ years of experience in projects, specifically in large water distribution programmes. At least 5 years in GCC region</li><li>Proven PMC experience in a similar role on programmes with a similar scope exceeding $1 Billion CAPEX</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Technical Skills</b></p><ul><li>In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.</li><li>Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and regulatory requirements for water transmission.</li><li>Proficiency in project scheduling and resource management.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Soft Skills</b></p><ul><li>Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.</li><li>Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.</li><li>A proactive approach to risk management and conflict resolution.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p>
