About Protocol Labs

Protocol Labs is an innovation network of more than 750 teams, projects, and movements, advancing breakthroughs in computing to push humanity forward.  Network members have created foundational technologies that power the decentralized web—including IPFS, Filecoin, IPLD, and libp2p—and continue to explore a wide range of frontier technologies spanning cryptography, AI, neurotech, virtual reality, and more.  Across the network, decentralization isn’t a slogan—it’s an operating principle. Protocol Labs teams work independently but are purpose-aligned around long-term impact, open systems, and durable infrastructure. About Polaris

Polaris is one of the core teams, known as PL Infra, that support the ongoing development and growth of the PL Network. Polaris builds the connective tissue of the Protocol Labs network. We design and operate the programs, systems, tools, and infrastructure that helps the network collaborate, grow, and thrive. Our work focuses on advancing digital human rights, upgrading economies and governance systems, safe AI, and neurotech—areas where durable coordination and long-term alignment matter most. We manage network membership and track network-wide participation and contribution data to continuously gauge the growth and maturity of the Protocol Labs ecosystem across several critical pillars. We also steward the Protocol Labs brand and strategic marketing initiatives, ensuring the network’s work is communicated clearly and consistently. At the core of everything Polaris does is the Protocol Labs mission—and a commitment to building the infrastructure, incentives, and coordination models that allow innovation to progress responsibly at scale.

About the Role

We are seeking a Product Lead, PLAA to lead the ongoing evolution, adoption, scaling, and optimization of the PL Alignment Asset now that it is live. You will work closely with Polaris leadership, Protocol Labs Corporate Services, Surus Trust Company, and partners across the Protocol Labs network to continue moving the system forward.

This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, program execution, technical infrastructure, incentive design, growth, and regulatory compliance, requiring deep expertise in tokenized assets, network-driven ecosystems and building user-friendly regulated products. It requires comfort operating within live, regulated systems and balancing long-term vision with real-world constraints. This role is not about building a product from scratch; rather, it focuses on driving ongoing execution across a complex, multi-stakeholder program—driving cross-functional alignment and translating strategy into clear plans, timelines, and outcomes. The role ensures the Alignment Asset operates smoothly while evolving sustainably over time.

As Product Lead, PLAA, you will own the end-to-end product strategy and continued execution of the PL Alignment Asset, expanding availability and adoption within the PL Network. PLAA’s primary objective is to incentivize value creation across PL.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Execution

  • Own and evolve the ongoing product strategy, roadmap, and execution of the PL Alignment Asset as a live, network-wide system.

  • Act as the primary interface between internal teams, partners, and user needs, ensuring that all perspectives are considered in product decisions.

  • Drive product discovery, prioritization, and iterative improvements based on metrics, user research, and regulatory requirements provided by the legal team.

  • Lead continued global expansion of the PL Alignment Asset, working cross-functionally to ensure that the asset is accessible and compliant across multiple jurisdictions.

Incentive Design, PL Network Collaboration, and User Experience

  • Support the ongoing development and refinement of incentive mechanisms to maximize impact while ensuring economic sustainability.

  • Analyze KPI-driven rewards structures and optimize token distribution models to better align participation with PL network value creation.

  • Work with other Protocol Labs teams to understand how the PL Alignment Asset can support their OKRs and KPIs.

  • Partner with other PL teams to streamline onboarding and engagement with the PL network, making it clear, rewarding, and intuitive to  receive tokens and PL membership benefits simultaneously.

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, ideally in fintech, tokenized assets, Web3 incentives, or network-driven ecosystems.

  • Proven track record of launching, operating, scaling, and iterating on live consumer-facing products that drive engagement, retention, and impact.

  • Demonstrated experience designing, launching, and operationalizing a token, including strategy, rollout, community engagement, and go-to-market.

  • Proven experience in managing partnerships, ideally in fintech, blockchain, or decentralized ecosystems.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with finance, compliance, and legal teams to navigate regulated financial products.

  • Strong background in growth strategies, behavioral incentives, and user engagement, with fluency across lifecycle marketing and product-led growth.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Deep understanding of tokenomics, incentive design, and decentralized network dynamics.

  • Ability to abstract back-end complexity from users and deliver clear and compelling user-facing products.

  • Demonstrated expertise in consumer UX, product storytelling, and conversion optimization for complex, technical products.

  • Skilled in partnership management across geographies and stakeholder types.

  • Strong data-driven decision-making skills—comfortable using KPIs, funnel analytics, and incentive performance metrics to drive iteration.

  • Familiarity with smart contracts, blockchain infrastructure, and on-chain finance tools is a plus.

Mindset & Approach

  • Deeply collaborative—able to drive alignment across technical, legal, marketing, and community teams.

  • Passionate about building meaningful, scalable consumer experiences that enable complex technologies to reach real users.

  • Motivated by pioneering new models for economic alignment and networked collaboration, and inspired by building infrastructure that empowers others.

Why Join Us?

  • Be at the forefront of scaling and evolving a live, network-wide incentive system.

  • Work with a pioneering team of builders and leaders shaping the future of network-based value creation.

  • Have the autonomy to lead, iterate, and refine on a groundbreaking incentive model operating at real-world scale.
