BrightStar Care is looking for private duty nurses to join our team! This opportunity offers 1:1 patient to staff ratio. We offer fully paid training and have full-time cases available immedietly. Job Responsibilities:

  • Hands on patient care that may include: g-tubes, medication management, trach care, ventilator care, ADLs, vital signs.
  • Collaborating with families, admin team, and licensed prescribers to ensure medical records are kept up to date and reflect patient needs.
  • Monitoring patient throughout the day and reporting any concerns or changes to DON.
  • Providing care in accordance to the plan of care and following state of Kansas nursing standards and Joint Commission standards.

Responsibilities can vary on a patient by patient basis.

Position Requirements:

  • A current Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) license in good standing (multistate preferred)
  • Current CPR Certification (BLS- Red Cross or American Heart Association) *we offer a class at a reduced cost if you need your BLS*
  • Negative TB skin test (within last year)
  • Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
  • Laptop or Tablet that can be used in patient's home for charting purposes
  • Proof of COVID Vaccination
  • Proof of Flu Vaccination, highly recommended to increase available client shifts
  • Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
