About the role

We are looking for an experienced Paid Social Senior Manager to join us on an 3-month freelance contract to lead and oversee all paid social activity end-to-end. We ideally need someone to start asap, and have hands on experience with influencer led paid social.

This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for shaping strategic paid social approaches, media planning, campaign execution, optimisation, reporting, and presenting results and recommendations to clients. You will also manage spend tracking and platform invoice approvals.

Clear and confident communication skills are essential, as you will work closely with the accounts team to embed paid social into client strategies and secure buy-in from stakeholders. You will contribute to new business pitches and confidently present structured, data-led strategies.

You will act as the most senior paid specialist within the team, working cross-functionally with account leads to ensure seamless planning and execution. There is potential to extend the contract depending on business needs and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Paid Social Advertising Expertise

  • Advanced knowledge of Meta (Facebook & Instagram Ads) and TikTok Ads is essential. Experience with YouTube, LinkedIn and Pinterest Ads is a plus.
  • Experience running paid social via both brand and influencer accounts is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of ad formats and how to align them to campaign objectives including awareness, engagement, conversion and retention.
  • Expertise in audience targeting including interest-based, behavioural, custom, lookalike and retargeting audiences.

Budget Management

  • Confident managing and optimising budgets to maximise ROI.
  • Ability to scale campaigns effectively based on performance data and insights.

Data Driven & Analytical

  • Strong performance analysis across ER, CPE, CPM, CTR, CPC, ROAS, CPA and conversion rates.
  • Experience running structured A/B testing across creative, copy and targeting.
  • Strong understanding of attribution, pixel tracking and measurement frameworks.
  • Ability to define KPIs aligned to business objectives and set clear benchmarks.

Creative & Copy

  • Strong understanding of paid creative best practice.
  • Ability to brief influencers and adapt organic copy into performance-led ad copy.

Client & Strategy

  • Experience contributing to and presenting within pitches.
  • Understanding of how organic, influencer and paid strategies intersect.
  • Confident in advocating for paid media and demonstrating ROI to clients.

Industry Awareness

  • Up to date with platform developments and algorithm changes.
  • Comfortable sharing insights and learnings internally.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven paid social experience within an agency environment.
  • Strong cross-channel understanding of influencer, organic and paid social.
  • Experience managing campaigns across varied budget levels.
  • Proficiency in Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager and Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects to a high standard.
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially minded with confidence embedding paid media into long-term strategy.

Contract Details

  • 3 month freelance contract
  • Hybrid working: Shoreditch office Tuesday to Thursday, remote Monday and Friday
  • Day rate dependent on experience
  • Potential for extension based on performance and business needs
