Jacobs is seeking an Operations Manager to join our senior leadership team supporting the Atlanta Airlines Terminal (AAT) project at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Atlanta, GA. In this role, you'll have exceptional judgment, independent analysis, superior technical and proven people leader skills to effectively direct and deploy resources that support client and customer requirements for the delivery of exceptional O&M services at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Duties of the position will primarily be performed on-site during normal business hours; however, as a senior leadership position off-hours, weekend, and night work may be required to accommodate special project requests, inclement weather operations and other conditions required to ensure O&M service continuity.

AAT operates continuously with three primary shifts - 6:00 AM-2:00 PM, 2:00 PM-10:00 PM, and 10:00 PM-6:00 AM. While duties are primarily on site during standard business hours, this senior leadership role requires availability for off hours, nights, weekends, and emergency or extreme weather operations to ensure service continuity.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Ensure team compliance with BeyondZero health, safety, sustainability, environmental, and safety training requirements in the performance of work on behalf of client, their customers and broader airport community.

  2. Participate in daily client communications and oversee the investigation and resolution of immediate issues that may arise following such communications.

  3. Provide client support, problem-solving, resolution of immediate, intermediate, and long-term corrective and preventative maintenance issues in support of service continuity.

  4. Lead, manage and support frontline leaders who manage reactive day-to-day shift operations.

  5. Assist with trouble-shooting reactive and operational issues required to ensure continuity of operations for critical airport systems and equipment.

  6. Oversee the resolution of employee relations issues in collaboration with leadership team, senior leaders, Human Resources and Employee Relations team.

  7. Drive frontline leader enterprise asset management system (EAMS) process oversight and quality assurance of work order and performance data in support of ISO 9001 registration, AAT project’s quality management system goals (safety, cost, quality, schedule, and operational continuity), key performance indicators (KPIs), client, customer, and broader airport community goals.

  8. Facilitate and oversee process, service failure and other incident investigations, root cause analysis, proposed corrective actions and training initiatives consistent with project’s ISO 9001: 2015 certified quality management system to drive a project culture of continuous improvement.

  9. Create, implement, and maintain standards for service delivery and customer service consistent with client and customer quality expectations.

  10. Organize and drive extreme weather event planning, operations, manpower scheduling, etc. to meet winter service delivery expectations.

  11. Assist program manager with preparation and delivery of annual and quarterly business reviews, maintenance updates, project status, work order performance, and other reporting as needed.

  • Associates degree with a relevant combination of technical training and experience, or bachelor’s degree required.

  • Five to seven years management or combined experience with craft, trade, operations and maintenance responsibilities in a large industrial, institutional, public/private sector, aviation, manufacturing, or similar facility required.

  • Demonstrated skill at developing and driving a project culture grounded in Jacobs BeyondZero safety principles and practices.

  • Demonstrated superior, professional communication and writing abilities, along with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Highly developed knowledge and skill in a single or multi-trade specialty area (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, plant, fire suppression, etc.) is required to provide subject matter expertise and guidance to resolve complex and challenging operational, maintenance, scheduling, critical incident, and special operations requests.

  • Ability to manage complex operational assignments and negotiate an acceptable resolution that meets client, customer, and broader airport community requirements.

  • Compile and analyze data, trend, and performance data sets and provide clear, concise findings reports.

  • Solid administrative skill and ability to effectively use Office 365 and other Jacobs project management and administrative programs.

  • Demonstrated skill and ability to lead and build resilient, high performing teams committed to client goals and superior service delivery.

  • Must possess a current valid driver's license with no major infractions

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Eight or more years management or combined experience with craft, trade, operations and maintenance responsibilities in a large industrial, institutional, public/private sector, aviation, manufacturing, or similar facility preferred.

  • CFM, PMI, or similar certification preferred.
