JOB DESCRIPTION

Kona Ice of Paramus


The Kona Ice Operations Coordinator plays a hands-on leadership role in all operational activities. This position is responsible for managing and overseeing events, warehouse procedures, equipment, and team members.


You will lead and train team members, serve as the point of contact for operational duties, and ensure that Kona Ice operations run efficiently while continuously improving day-to-day systems.


This role requires high energy, cheerful disposition, and the ability to solve problems under pressure.


Assistant Operations Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage team efforts including assigning daily tasks, communicating job expectations, supervising performance, and educating staff on operational procedures, warehouse standards, and Kona equipment.
  • Ensure event operations, warehouse processes, and equipment meet company standards through daily evaluation and upkeep.
  • Coordinate, plan, and direct the team to ensure all Kona Ice equipment is cleaned, maintained, and properly stocked for daily events.
  • Maintain inventory, including ordering flavors, cups, and other necessary supplies.
  • Run errands as needed to facilitate event operations, including purchasing supplies, ice, tools, etc.
  • Maintain systems for operations and equipment maintenance.
  • Serve as the first point of contact to support employees, resolve personnel concerns, and provide feedback.
  • Work events and oversee proper setup and breakdown of each Kona Ice unit, including preparation and end-of-event procedures.
  • Assist owners with hiring, training, coaching, and supervising team members.
  • Assist in developing personal growth opportunities and recognition/reward programs for team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift 30–40 pounds and stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Open availability, including weekends.
  • Minimum High School Dipolma
  • Valid driver’s license wiht a minimum of 2 years driving exerpeince.
  • 1–3 years of experience in operations, hospitality, or event management preferred.
  • Strong self-initiative, time management skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency with scheduling and management tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, CRM systems).
  • A creative mindset with the ability to suggest improvements.
