Job Summary

TuneUp Academy is seeking passionate and experienced Online Music Teachers to join our remote learning platform. As an Online Music Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality music lessons to students of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced learners. You will leverage virtual tools to provide engaging, interactive, and personalized instruction, fostering a love for music and helping students achieve their musical goals. This role offers the flexibility of working from home while contributing to the growth of aspiring musicians worldwide.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct online music lessons using video conferencing platforms.
  • Develop customized lesson plans tailored to individual student needs, skill levels, and learning goals.
  • Provide guidance on music theory, practice techniques, and performance skills.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement.
  • Create an engaging and positive virtual classroom environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of lessons, attendance, and student performance.
  • Stay updated on the latest teaching methodologies and music industry trends.
  • Collaborate with other instructors to enhance curriculum and teaching resources.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument or vocal expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory, techniques, and pedagogy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to create structured lesson plans and adapt teaching methods for online learning.
  • Familiarity with online teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.) and digital music tools.
  • Patience, creativity, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of teaching experience in music (online or in-person preferred).
  • Experience teaching different age groups and skill levels is a plus.

Working Hours

  • Flexible working hours with the ability to schedule lessons according to student availability.
