The Office of the State’s Attorney for Baltimore City is seeking to fill the position of Office Service Assistant II (OAII) in the District Court of Maryland for Baltimore City. This position is located at the North Avenue District Court Building, 1400 East North Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21213.<br><br>The OAII is responsible for assisting the Assistant State’s Attorneys in preparing criminal dockets. The OAII also provides support to the attorneys during court. Additionally, this position assists in collection and disclosure of evidence. The OAII also handles administrative duties such as collecting mail and faxes, file maintenance, photocopying, phone coverage and other support for the District Courts as directed by the Division Chief, SVU Team Captain or the Administrative Supervisor.<br><br><strong>Primary Duties And Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Preparing criminal dockets;</li><li>Filing pleadings with the court clerk’s office;</li><li>Preparing subpoenas, correspondences and documents;</li><li>Assisting attorneys in obtaining evidence to include body worn camera, police reports, and certified records;</li><li>Creating and maintaining databases;</li><li>Assist in collecting statistical data and reports;</li><li>Other duties as directed or delegated.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Possess a High School Diploma;</li><li>Some college preferred;</li><li>Experience working with a case management system;</li><li>Ability to use programs in the Microsoft Office Suite;</li><li>Excellent organizational and time-management skills;</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills;</li><li>Punctual and reliable;</li><li>Must work well with a variety of individuals and able to resolve issues professionally.<br><br></li></ul>The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal background check before starting employment.<br><br><strong>Salary:</strong> Salary range is $42,401- $50,154.
