Job Summary

Trinity Healthcare is an established primary care practice that has proudly served the Lake Norman community for over 30 years. Led by Dr. Anthony Macasieb — a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician with a practice concentration in integrative medicine — we are built on a simple but rare philosophy: treat the whole person, not just the symptoms, focusing on the least toxic options for maximum wellness.

We are seeking a compassionate and driven Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive, patient-centered primary care across diverse populations — promoting health, preventing illness, and managing both acute and chronic conditions. You will benefit from direct mentorship by Dr. Macasieb, whose Board-Certified Internal Medicine training — among the most rigorous boards in all of medicine — combined with decades of integrative practice, offers a depth of clinical mentorship that is genuinely rare.

This is an opportunity to practice medicine the way it was meant to be practiced: unhurried, personal, and purpose-driven — with real autonomy in patient care and an immediate, loyal patient base to serve from day one.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to accurately diagnose and treat health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for acute and chronic illnesses across a primary care outpatient setting.
  • Manage ongoing care for patients of all ages — from routine wellness visits and preventive care to complex chronic disease management.
  • Perform clinical procedures as needed, including wound care, medication administration, and minor in-office procedures.
  • Utilize the practice’s EMR/EHR system to document patient encounters accurately and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with Dr. Macasieb and the care team on case management, care planning, and patient follow-up to optimize health outcomes.
  • Apply integrative and root-cause medicine principles alongside conventional primary care — treating the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.
  • Participate in practice improvement initiatives that reflect our commitment to clinical excellence and continuous growth.

Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina Nurse Practitioner license, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
  • Certification in family medicine (FNP) or adult/geriatric care (AGNP) preferred; other NP certifications considered.
  • Experience in primary care settings preferred; new graduates warmly welcomed — mentorship and training provided.
  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR documentation and commitment to accurate, compliant medical record keeping.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and genuine commitment to patient-centered, relationship-based care.
  • Comfort working with diverse patient populations across all age groups.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small, supportive practice environment.
  • Alignment with Trinity’s philosophy of integrative, whole-person wellness and root-cause medicine.
