Greenville County Department of Public Safety is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. In this position, you will play a key role in the healthcare for inmate patients at the Greenville County Detention Center. The Detention Center's medical team consists of approximately 70 employees to include nurses, critical care technicians, medical technicians, mental health counselors and administrative staff. Our facility includes a large, central nursing station with administrative offices; three exam rooms; an infirmary, a medical housing area and isolation rooms; as well as onsite pharmacy, lab, x-ray, and dental offices. Under general supervision the NP plans, directs, and performs advanced sick call, including the prescription of medications. The PA/NP conducts complete physical examinations, performs various procedures and diagnostic workups on patients. Chronic care clinics are held as well as urgent visits and emergencies within the facility.
