Apply Job Type Part-time Description Now Hiring - MRI Technologist Location: Southwest, FL - various locations Status: PRN Schedule: Monday - Friday with flexible hours Radiology Regional is one of the largest physician-driven diagnostic imaging providers, with 13 imaging centers, in Southwest Florida. We are seeking an MRI technologist with a passion to care for others in the communities we serve. For over 50 years we have earned trust and confidence because of their patient care experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Responsible for performing routine and specialized MRI and radiographic procedures and examinations for radiological diagnosis. • Must accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions, routine procedural protocols, administer contrast materials, prepare, and operate the MR equipment, associated software, devices, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images. • Maintain communication with radiologists and other physicians, patients and their families, and other people. • Document all patient related information in radiology information system in a timely manner based on patient and radiologist workflow. • Perform quality control and reporting tasks, setting up and conducting MRI procedures, maintaining day-to-day schedules, assisting radiologist, and contributing to the efficient operation of the department assuring the quality and continuity of patient care. • Screens patients, employees, and visitors to maintain a magnetically safe environment according to the American College of Radiology standards. • Acquire patients' chart data/requisition and reviews both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems, contraindications to the study and verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs. • Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and safety. • Provide coverage as needed (i.e., in the event of call off or extended patient schedules). • Provides instruction/mentoring to new hires. Continuously strive to learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation programs.
