We are looking to add an M&A Analyst to our team! CORE RESPONSIBILITES: • Analyze potential veterinary hospital and pet care business acquisitions and capital investment in markets across the United States • Analyze acquisition targets, focusing on P&L statements and conducting quality of earnings analyses to assess true profitability. · Build valuation models and assist in recommending deal structures and terms. • Manage multiple acquisition workstreams, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure efficient due diligence and execution. • Monitor post-acquisition performance, ensuring targets meet initial projections, and guide Operations on KPIs and strategies for success. • Support senior leadership with investment presentations and provide insights on unit expansion, buildouts, and growth opportunities. • Assist with special projects and optimize M&A team processes to improve efficiency and outcomes. • Support FP&A efforts by evaluating the performance of existing centers and conducting analyses to assist the FP&A team with strategic projects as needed. REQUIREMENTS: Expertise & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Math, or a related field • 1+ years of relevant work experience e.g. investment banking, corporate development, corporate finance, or public accounting • Advanced proficiency in arenaflex Excel for building complex financial models and PowerPoint for investment presentations • Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and key financial metrics, including formulas and ratios used to analyze investment returns (e.g., SSG, NPV, IRR, and ROI) • Strong ability to analyze P&L statements and conduct quality of earnings analyses to assess profitability and identify risks. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret large data sets and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations. • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to senior leadership • Strong attention to detail, ownership mentality, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
