Collins Aerospace is looking to hire Material Handlerwho will be reporting to the Logistics Supervisor. In this position; the Material Handler performs a variety of manual/administrative tasks associated with cycle counting, material handling on the shop floor, kitting, expediting parts, shipping and receiving operations in accordance with established procedures.

Work Location: Oakville Facility - Ontario - Canada

Shift Hours: Night Shift - Sunday- Thursday (11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.)

What You Will Do

  • Compare identifying information of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

  • Unpack crates/cartons and receiving of product(entering information into ERP system or other).

  • Prepare shipments for delivery, packaging orders to customer specification; prepare all process parts to ship to vendors.

  • Prepare all necessary customs documentation.

  • Organize trucks for pick up and delivery.

  • Utilize power tools.

  • Operate lift truck, hand tucks, and overhead crane to move, convey, or hoist shipments.

  • May be required to handle dangerous goods and materials.

  • Perform receiving inspection; deliver product throughout the plant, support andon process.

  • Become SI&A trained (self inspection and acceptance).

  • Support and promote continuous improvement, 5S activities and Standard Work Development in the cell.

  • Attend daily Tier meetings and other meetings as required.

  • Receiving and Shipping of goods from Suppliers and Processors to be updated in sap.

  • May be asked to complete other tasks in the department based on skills and qualifications.

  • Material receipt and unpacking of all unique parts.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications We Require

  • Typically requires a High school diploma or educational equivalent.

  • Experience using MS office and general Computer Knowledge Skills

  • 1-3 years shipping/receiving experience.

  • Experience overhead cranes and/or Material Handling

  • The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using ERP (SAP)

  • Forklift truck license/certification.

  • Demonstrated strong communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

The salary range for this role is 59,548- 74,126 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
