How will you make an impact in this role?

Manager Marketing, Project Management Office (PMO) is a dynamic role providing the incumbent with the opportunity to implement key initiatives that will help drive business growth across American Express Canada. The role requires you to work very closely with key stakeholders across the Blue Box to develop project requirements, ensure alignment and drive the flawless implementation of initiatives. In addition, the role. The PMO is an exciting team that is positioned to transform business processes across the enterprise and offers the unique opportunity to work across a variety of disciplines including:

  • Consumer Cards, Merchant Services and Corporate Products.

  • Lending, Charge, Proprietary and Co-branded products.

  • Working closely with Legal, Compliance, AET, Risk, World Service, CEG and many other teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • PMP a benefit.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to take initiative and champion a project from conception through to implementation and evaluation. This will include demonstrated ability in:

  • Managing multiple complex projects simultaneously; from Legal/Regulatory, new capabilities to process improvement driven.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with emphasis on developing strategic project overviews for presentation to internal teams up to senior management levels.

  • Creating Program structures, organizing teams, identifying, and tracking key project milestones (base-lining critical path).

  • Proactively anticipating project risks and issues and ensuring adequate mitigation is put in place to ensure delivery is not compromised; challenging the status quo.

  • Exceptional relationship management across all organization levels & lines of business; influencing and collaboration skills.

  • Strong understanding of Legal & Regulatory environment.

  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Selecting, reviewing, analyzing diverse data sets related to business performance (e.g. financial performance, business process optimization).

  • Excels working in ambiguity & continuous change.

  • Never satisfied with the status quo - a life-long learner.

  • Interpretation of complex data in order to develop compelling business cases.

  • Experience across multiple Amex business groups a plus.

Must be a “power user” of Excel, Visio and Power Point and be comfortable with the rest of the Microsoft Office suite.

Hiring Range: $100,000 to $150,000 annually + bonus + benefits
