🚀 The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Manager, Alternative Content & World Cinema to own two growth engines for Regal, alternative content execution and world cinema strategy. This role blends operational precision with market-driven programming leadership.

You will ensure alternative content events are flawlessly scheduled, communicated, and executed across the circuit, while building a repeatable world cinema playbook that increases Regal’s share of international and culturally relevant programming by market.

You will be the day-to-day operational hub for alternative content partners and internal initiatives, and a primary film programming point of contact for foreign-language distributors and studio-led international releases.

💻 What You’ll Be Driving

  • Alternative Content Intake & Scheduling: Manage incoming alternative content requests, approvals, and scheduling, ensuring balanced programming that complements first-run titles and protects key dates.
  • Event Logistics & Readiness: Own end-to-end event setup including paperwork, date approvals, participating location lists, ticket builds, POS configuration, and pre-show asset coordination.
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Partner with Theatre Operations, Marketing, Food Service, and IT to deliver consistent execution standards and eliminate theatre-level surprises.
  • Performance Tracking & Postmortems: Track attendance and box office for each event, produce clear recaps, and translate learnings into repeatable playbooks and improved forecasting.
  • Partner Management & Compliance: Support rights, contract, and partnership obligations, and maintain clean, timely communication with distributors and internal stakeholders.
  • World Cinema Strategy & Growth: Build and execute a scalable approach to increase Regal’s market share of international and foreign-language films across priority regions and audience segments.
  • Market & Community Targeting: Identify underserved communities within Regal trade areas, assess demand signals, and translate insights into repeatable programming plans by market.
  • Studio & Distributor Partnerships: Serve as a primary point of contact for domestic studios and international distributors, securing allocations and positioning Regal as the exhibitor of choice.
  • Booking & Lifecycle Optimization: Recommend and manage screen allocations, showtime strategy, holds, and lifecycle adjustments based on performance, comps, and local demand indicators.
  • Localized Programming Development: Source and propose culturally targeted content opportunities including event-style screenings, themed series, and community-forward programming.
  • Reporting & Insights: Deliver clear performance reporting to leadership, including what is working, where demand is shifting, and where adjustments will improve results.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure world cinema and event execution is clean and consistent, including scheduling readiness, format requirements, and theatre-level communication.

🧠 Who You Are

  • Experience in film programming, theatrical distribution, live events, or entertainment operations, with demonstrated ability to drive measurable box office results.
  • Strong operational instincts and attention to detail, comfortable managing complex logistics across many locations, deadlines, and stakeholders.
  • Analytical and commercially minded, able to use performance data, comps, and market insights to make confident programming recommendations.
  • Skilled relationship builder with studios, distributors, and internal partners, able to align priorities and deliver clear outcomes.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and related tools, familiarity with Vista or similar theatre systems is a plus.

🎟️ Why You’ll Love Working at Regal

  • Own two high-impact categories that expand audience reach and grow revenue through smarter programming and operational excellence.
  • Work cross-functionally with Film, Marketing, Operations, IT, Food Service, and Group Sales in a fast-moving environment.
  • Build scalable playbooks that improve execution quality and drive repeatable outcomes across the circuit.
