In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and mitigating security risks to our IT systems and applications. You will be working closely with other IT professionals, network administrators, and software developers to ensure the highest level of security for our systems. Responsibilities: 1. Perform vulnerability assessments using a variety of tools (Nessus, Rapid7, Wiz, Crowdstrike) to identify and classify system and network vulnerabilities; provide recommendations for mitigation or risk reduction. 2. Monitor security systems for potential incidents and breaches, conduct investigations when necessary, and provide incident response. 3. Maintain a strong understanding of the current vulnerability landscape, including researching the latest threats and exploring ways to detect them. 4. Work with the IT team to ensure that all systems are patched timely and effectively, and that patch management practices are adhered to. 5. Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure that all systems and processes meet the standards set by NIST, ISO, PCI and other regulatory bodies. 6. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of CVSS, CVE Database, and OWASP Top 10 to support the identification and classification of potential vulnerabilities. 7. Monitor the endpoint security for potential breaches and develop strategies to prevent future incidents. 8. Support the development and implementation of SLAs related to security incidents and breaches. 9. Provide regular reports on the current status of the IT security landscape and make recommendations for improvements. Qualifications: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security, vulnerability analysis, or a related field. 2. Experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus, Rapid7, Wiz, and Crowdstrike. 3. Familiarity with CVSS, CVE Database, and OWASP Top 10. 4. Proficiency in patch management and endpoint security. 5. Experience in incident response and handling security breaches. 6. Knowledge of SLAs and compliance standards such as NIST, ISO, and PCI. 7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. 8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex security issues to non-technical staff. 9. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. 10. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.) are highly desirable.
