Title: IoT Industrial Engineer Location: Atlanta, GA | Onsite Duration: 6-12+ Month Role Overview • Our client, a global leader in enterprise IoT solutions, is seeking an IoT Industrial / Quality Engineer Connected Healthcare to support the engineering, qualification, and quality assurance of Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), Telehealth, and Connected Health solutions. This role focuses on device quality, process engineering, configuration management, and regulatory-aware deployment of healthcare IoT solutions. The ideal candidate combines Industrial and Quality Engineering expertise with hands-on experience supporting IoT devices, mobile ecosystems, and healthcare technology deployments in customer-facing environments. Experience with mobile device kitting and working with Systems Integrators in the mobility ecosystem is highly desired. Key Responsibilities • Lead engineering and quality activities for connected healthcare IoT solutions from pilot through production. • Define and maintain processes, quality controls, and deployment standards for healthcare IoT devices. • Collaborate with Solution Architecture and Operations teams to ensure designs are production-ready and scalable. • Execute device qualification, assessment, and configuration management in accordance with solution and regulatory requirements. • Develop and maintain device images, OS profiles, application configurations, and staging documentation. • Support Mobile Device Management (MDM) standards and lifecycle controls for healthcare IoT deployments. • Coordinate with suppliers to qualify devices, components, and configuration changes. • Review and approve work instructions, staging summaries, gold images, and production documentation. • Support pilots, validation activities, and production rollouts across internal teams, suppliers, and customers. • Assist with post-deployment issue resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. • Participate in incident reviews, change controls, and CAPA activities to ensure effective remediation and prevention. • Apply Industrial Engineering principles to improve efficiency, repeatability, and quality across deployment workflows. Regulatory & Compliance Responsibilities • Ensure IoT healthcare solutions are designed and deployed with awareness of HIPAA, HITECH, and data privacy requirements. • Support quality practices aligned with FDA Quality System Regulation (21 CFR Part 820) principles where applicable (non-clinical device support). • Maintain documentation and traceability required for audit readiness, validation, and controlled changes. • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure device handling, configuration, and data flows meet security and compliance expectations. Required Experience & Skills • 5+ years supporting telecom, mobility, or IoT infrastructure. • 2 3 years supporting IoT solutions in Remote Patient Monitoring, Telehealth, or Connected Healthcare. • 2 4 years of hands-on experience in: • Industrial Engineering applied to device deployment and operations • Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance processes • Mobile Device Management (MDM) for IoT ecosystems • Device kitting, staging, and logistics (healthcare preferred) • Experience working in customer-facing, consultative delivery environments. • Ability to translate technical requirements into repeatable, compliant operational processes. • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience as a billable consultant or within managed services organizations. • Project or program coordination experience in healthcare or IoT deployments. • Familiarity with healthcare security standards and device lifecycle controls. • Education Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Computer Science, or related field • Or: Equivalent professional experience supporting IoT engineering and quality programs.
