This role focuses on execution and maintenance, ensuring payer enrollments stay current, communications are handled promptly, documentation is organized, and reimbursement of codes remains clean. You'll work closely with our insurance consultant to learn payer relations and serve as the internal point of contact for operational insurance matters. What You’ll Do • Manage EFT and ERA enrollment and re-enrollment processes with payers; track status, follow up on delays, and ensure successful completion • Monitor and respond to payer communications, provider portal messages, and credentialing requests in a timely manner • Serve as the primary liaison for routine payer interactions, identifying and escalating strategic issues as needed • Maintain organized records of payer contracts, enrollment statuses, and compliance documentation • Conduct annual review of payer compliance documents; identify billing rule changes, coverage updates, and documentation requirements • Translate compliance document findings into actionable summaries for the billing and clinical teams • Audit billing codes and claims data for accuracy; flag discrepancies and ensure clean claim submission • Track denial trends and compile reports for operational review • Support credentialing maintenance and provider enrollment updates across states Required Qualifications • 3-5 years experience in healthcare administration, medical billing, or insurance operations • Hands-on experience with payer portals, EFT/ERA enrollment, and credentialing workflows • Strong understanding of medical billing processes, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and claims submission • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and follow-through • Comfortable managing billing processes at scale Nice To Have • Experience with clearinghouses (e.g., Availity), RCM platforms (e.g., Candid Health), or EDI transactions (270/271) • Familiarity with telehealth billing and multi-state credentialing • Background in a startup or high-growth healthcare environment • Experience reading and interpreting payer compliance and policy documents Life at Mochi At Mochi, we believe your best work happens when you feel your best—so we’ve designed an environment that fuels your creativity, supports your growth, and makes every day exciting.
