Job Title Inside Sales Account Manager, Chicago Job Description We have a position open for an Inside Sales Account Manager in our Midwest Business Area! This person will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities to drive company growth. This role focuses on prospecting, lead qualifications, and nurturing early-stage opportunities, then partnering closely with the Outside Sales team to advance qualified leads through the sales pipeline. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and motivated by uncovering new opportunities and contributing to overall revenue success. This person will sit in our Chicago, IL office. Please note that this role requires you to be in-person at the office. We Believe You'll Love this Position If... You enjoy working closely with Regional Sales Managers to promote and aid the sale of Axis Communications products and solutions. What You’ll Do Here… Identify and research potential new customers through our online lead generation tools, emails, social selling, and other prospecting methods. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities. Share qualified leads and detailed opportunity insights with Outside Sales Account Executives Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, activities, and opportunities in the CRM/salesforce. Work closely with Outside Sales to ensure smooth handoff of opportunities and alignment of arenaflex accounts. Provide feedback on lead quality, market trends, and prospective objections. Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to refine outreach strategies and messaging. Meet or exceed activity, lead generation, and opportunity creation goals. Provide regular reports and insights to sales leadership Work with regional sales managers, identify opportunities and determine which customers to pursue and allocate resources to, to best achieve initiatives Performs other related duties as assigned Key Competencies Hunter mentality and self-motivation Goal-oriented mindset with a passion for business growth Relationship-building skills Ability to identify customer pain points Experience supporting or working alongside an Outside Sales team We Believe You Will Need… Bachelor’s degree in Business or related area Proven ability to prospect, qualify, and develop new business opportunities 2-3+ years in an inside sales position, technical sales experience a plus Physical demands: Frequently required to lift 20-50 lbs., occasionally more. Expected travel time for this position is up to 15% annually.
