Job Description: BwB is seeking expressions of interest from individual consultants based anywhere in the world to join our global network of experts providing high-impact consultancy services in international development and sustainable finance. We are building a diverse and geographically distributed pool of consultants who can be mobilised to support a wide range of regional and global projects for leading development institutions, multilateral organisations, and international finance bodies. The consultant will be expected to: • Provide technical and strategic advisory services across a range of development and finance-related projects. • Support the design, implementation, and evaluation of programmes and initiatives aligned with sustainable development goals. • Contribute to the development of innovative financing solutions, including climate finance, blended finance, and ESG-aligned strategies. • Work with multilateral development banks (MDBs), international donor agencies, and other institutional partners. • Deliver high-quality written outputs, such as reports, proposals, and analytical briefs. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and engage with diverse stakeholders in a global context. This is a consultancy-based engagement, and assignments may vary in duration, scope and travel depending on project needs. Qualifications: We are looking for consultants who meet the following criteria: • Proven track record of delivering major consultancy assignments for multilateral institutions, development finance bodies, or international NGOs. • Strong subject-matter expertise in one or more of the following areas: • Sustainable finance and investment strategies • Climate finance and ESG integration • Development economics and policy • Programme design and evaluation • Innovative financing models (e.g., blended finance, impact investing) • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant professional experience, including consulting or advisory roles. • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage complex assignments, and produce high-quality analytical deliverables. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset. • Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in a relevant field such as economics, finance, development studies, public policy, or related disciplines. Successful candidates will be engaged on a project-by-project basis, depending on our evolving needs and the scope of client assignments.
