Position Overview

The Fairfield InnSuites in Snyder, Texas is seeking a hands-on General Manager who understands how to operate a select service property. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage both people and performance.

Snyder is a steady market driven by energy, construction, and regional business travel. The right General Manager will focus on capturing that demand while maintaining strong guest service scores and brand compliance.

This is a working leadership position. You must be comfortable rolling up your sleeves, supporting the team, and ensuring daily operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and breakfast service
  • Drive revenue through rate management, occupancy growth, and local sales efforts
  • Maintain Marriott brand standards and ensure successful QA and property inspections
  • Manage hotel financial performance including payroll control, expense management, and P&L accountability
  • Lead hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching of hotel staff
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores, online reviews, and service recovery
  • Build relationships with local businesses, contractors, and corporate accounts to increase room demand
  • Ensure safety, security, and proper maintenance of the property
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and financial reports

Qualifications

  • Previous hotel General Manager experience preferred
  • Strong experience with Marriott brands or other major hotel brands
  • Experience managing a select service hotel such as Fairfield, Hampton, Holiday Inn Express, Comfort Inn, or similar
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Working knowledge of hotel P&L, labor management, and revenue strategy
  • Ability to manage both operations and administrative responsibilities
  • Experience with hotel PMS systems and brand reporting platforms
