About the Role

The Hospitality Manager is a full-time leadership role within our Direct to Consumer team, responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our tasting room and hospitality spaces, executing on-site events, and driving wine sales through exceptional guest experiences.

This role is highly guest-facing and team-oriented. You’ll lead from the floor—hosting guests, coaching associates, and setting the tone for hospitality and sales—while also owning scheduling, staff oversight, and private event execution. You’ll work closely with the Direct to Consumer Manager, Wine Sales & Operations Lead, Facilities, and Winery team to ensure seamless experiences both on-site and off-site.

This position supports all three of our brands and plays a critical role in building long-term customer relationships, growing membership, driving sales, and creating a welcoming, memorable environment for every guest.

Job Description

Wine Sales & Membership Growth

  • Maintain a hospitality first mindset for sales, securing bottle purchases, club memberships, and guest retention through genuine connection and enthusiasm
  • Drive wine sales and club memberships through engaging, personalized guest experiences
  • Confidently present and sell memberships and allocations, guiding guests toward the best fit
  • Coach associates on upselling, storytelling, and closing techniques
  • Propose and help implement sales incentives and goals for the hospitality team
  • Conduct outbound sales follow-ups as needed, including post-visit outreach and targeted calls
  • Manage the customer database and utilize CRM tools to cultivate customer relationships and track sales data
  • Partner with the Direct to Consumer Manager and Wine Sales & Operations Lead on sales initiatives, owning on-the-floor execution

Tasting Room & Hospitality Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the tasting room and hospitality space, including opening and closing procedures, hosting guests daily, inventory management, point-of-sale (POS) system management, reservation system management, visitation data, and ensuring a clean and organized environment to maintain consistent service standards and polished presentation
  • Host guests, Members, VIPs, trade, and media, modeling exceptional hospitality and wine sales
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience, creating personalized and memorable visits. Ensure exceptional service and cultivate relationships with visitors
  • Supervise, coach, and motivate hospitality associates during service, setting expectations through example
  • Support inbound guest communication via phone, email, and SMS, responding to general customer service requests in a timely, thoughtful, and professional manner
  • Collaborate with the Kitchen & Facilities Lead to maintain the tasting room environment, food standards, and ensure the space is always guest-ready
  • Communicate offerings, priorities, and updates clearly to the hospitality team in daily line-ups
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations related to alcohol sales, hospitality, and safety

Team Leadership, Scheduling & Hiring

  • Manage the scheduling platform for part-time and seasonal hospitality staff
  • Lead the hiring, onboarding, and training of part-time and seasonal hospitality associates
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture centered on hospitality excellence and sales confidence
  • Support ongoing training related to wine knowledge, service standards, and sales techniques
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings with leadership team

Events & Private Experiences

  • Collaborate with the Direct to Consumer Manager on the ideation, planning, and execution of on-site events
  • Own day-of event execution, ensuring smooth hospitality flow, staff coordination, and guest satisfaction
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for private event inquiries and bookings
  • Coordinate logistics, staffing, and vendor relationships
  • Support post-event follow-up to nurture long-term relationships

Petros House & Offsite Experiences

  • Coordinate Petros House stays for Members and VIPs in collaboration with the Facilities Manager and Direct to Consumer Manager
  • Assist with scheduling, guest communication, and on-site readiness for Petros House stays
  • Support offsite tastings and sales events, including local and regional activations, brand collaborations, and Member experiences

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Compensation $25-$33 DOE (inclusive of hourly pay, gratuity, bonuses and commission)
